FEES
Office appointments are scheduled for 45-50 minutes and may extend longer with the first appointment because this is when the Initial Assessment is conducted. Therapy sessions are by scheduled appointment only. I am available for evening and week-end appointments.
I provide an initial free 30 minute telephone consultation to assess if we can work effectively in a client/therapist relationship.
The fee for Individuals is $100.00. Couples/Family $120.00. Initial assessments are $140.00.
On an as needed basis, I offer sliding scale fees based on a client’s ability to pay.
Currently, I am accepting United Behavioral Health, United Health Care, Cigna Behavioral Health, OPTUM, and NC Problem Gambling Program.

I am available as a provider on an out-of-network basis for some insurance providers. Most insurance companies will require that I diagnose your mental health condition and specify your diagnosis before they will agree to reimbursement. The condition for which you seek counseling may or may not qualify for reimbursement. If a qualifying diagnosis is appropriate in your case, I will inform you of the diagnosis.
Out-of-network benefits usually require that you pay a deductible before reimbursement is allowed. Most often, only a percentage of my fee is reimbursable. Therefore, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with your insurance benefits to determine whether
your provider will reimburse you and what schedule of reimbursement will be allowed.
Full payment of my fee is due at the beginning of each session, unless prior arrangements have been made. I recommend that all potential clients contact either me, or my Office Manager, Delores Brubaker at 919-636-9262 prior to scheduling appointment in order that insurance benefits or private pay arrangements can be made.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Cancellation and Missed Appointments:
In the event you must change a scheduled appointment, please give 24 hours’ notice.
Missed appointments are not reimbursable by insurance companies. If you miss an
appointment without prior 24 hours’ notice, you will be billed $50.00 cancelation fee.
Payments are accepted in cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American
Express, and Discover).
